My Approach Hey! I’m Al, a Manchester wedding photographer capturing laid-back weddings in a candid, documentary style. I work with couples who want great photos, but don’t want to spend their whole wedding pretending to be models. I focus on the genuine emotions – the joy, the nerves, the hugs, and the happy tears. Aka…great photos!
Whether you’re planning a city centre elopement, a chilled-out party at your favourite pub, or a registry office ceremony with your closest people, I’m here to document it all with zero fuss — and just the right amount of fun.

My style is documentary and relaxed. That means I won’t stage your day. I’ll just be there, camera in hand (well two actually) capturing the real stuff as it unfolds. The stolen glances, the ugly cries, the belly laughs, the beer spills (not too many hopefully!) You know, the inbetween frames that tell the real story.

My style is totally natural and story driven. I focus on real emotions, unscripted moments, and the people you love most. Think laughter, nerves, hugs and happy tears. You know…everything that makes your wedding feel like your wedding. No awkward directions, no interruptions. Just honest photography with life and fun energy.

You don’t need to be “photogenic” or used to being in front of a camera. Most of my couples say they’re camera-shy or just want to be left to enjoy their day and that’s exactly how I work. I’ll blend in, give you space, and gently guide you if needed during portraits (without making you do anything cringey). I don’t follow trends, fads or force a certain look. I’m just there to tell your story. No drama, no pressure, just good vibes and great photos.

I’m based in Manchester but I photograph weddings across the North West. Including: Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside, the Peak District, Yorkshire, Staffordshire and beyond. I’m always up for a good road trip (Snacks included!)
2: GET HITCHED
On the day, I’m there capturing it all. The nerves, the hugs..plus the 'epic' dance moves. No cheesy poses, no bossing people around trying to recreate the latest instafad. Just real moments, properly photographed.
3: GET THE MEMORIES
The next day after your wedding, you'll wake up to around 20 to 30 sneak peeks to share on socials. Soon after, your full gallery lands (usually within a few weeks), ready for you to relive the day in all its glory. Get the tissues ready!
